This course will teach you how to test the strength and function of muscles to discover muscle weakness, pathology, and faulty biomechanics. This hour is one of nine. It will focus on the thorax muscles, including the diaphragm, quadratus lumborum, pelvic floor, transverse abdominus, rectus abdominus, obliques, and sacrospinalis.
Dr. Scott Levine demonstrates how to perform and interpret functional tests for these muscles to enable the practitioner to uncover pathologies and faulty biomechanics that often lead to musculoskeletal complaints.
Learning Objectives
Viewers will be able to detect functional abnormalities that can lead or have lead to pathology of the trunk. In addition, they will be able to assess the biomechanics breathing and the core, allowing them to treat complaints in this area more effectively.
