This hour is one of a ten-hour live workshop. In this hour, Dr. Liebenson teaches how to evaluate movement and correct functional abnormalities. He explains how to apply specific exercise programs to increase stability and performance. This hour includes normal and abnormal respiration patterns, “Bracing” and “Stability” tests. He offers upper and lower quarter active care
stability exercises to use in practice.
Faulty movement patterns can lead to chronic disease and instability in the average person and the elite athlete. This hour can be taken alone but would be best if taken in sequence with the entire course. In the 10-hour course, Dr. Liebenson teaches how to detect and ultimately correct these faulty movement patterns allowing the average person and the elite athlete to reach their full potential while reducing the risk of injury.
Learning Objectives
The participant will be able to describe the steps to perform qualitative tests to find the source of biomechanical overload in the kinetic chain. In addition, they will be able to explain how to develop specific exercise programs that will enhance stability and performance while reducing the risk of injury.
